The Appendix to the Chief Executive Dispatch No. 8/2017, “Guidelines on Release of Civil Worker’s Official Trip Reports to the Public”, stipulates that all public entities shall standardize the release of the beneficial outcomes of official trips where the main purpose has been a “Study Trip” or “Seminar”. Item 3.2 thereof states that public entities having their own personnel statutes may opt to follow the “Guidelines”, or take them as reference to devise their own internal guidelines on the release to the public of the beneficial outcomes of official trips.

In accordance with Article 10 of Section 3 of Chapter 2 of the Rules of Personnel Affairs of UM and Item 3.2 of the “Guidelines” mentioned above, the “Guidelines on Release of UM Official Trip Reports to the Public” are devised by the University of Macau (UM). “The Guidelines” regulate and standardize the manner in which UM staff members make known the beneficial outcomes of official trips where the main purpose has been a “Study Trip” or “Seminar”.

Staff members on official trips shall submit the Official Trip Report with the endorsement of the supervisory head of academic unit, head of academic support unit, head of administrative unit or the leading officer, to the Human Resources Section of the Office of Administration (ADMO-HRS) within 30 days from the day following the completion of the trip. Where an official trip is arranged with the main purpose of “Study Trip” or “Seminar”, the beneficial outcome of the official trip shall be included in the Official Trip Report as an appendix.

ADMO-HRS shall release the beneficial outcomes of official trips where the main purpose has been a “Study Trip” or “Seminar” within 60 days from the day following the return of the staff member to Macao.
